RHPC’s Covid19 guidelines - update 2021

During the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, your safety and the safety of our practitioners is our primary concern. Key to this, is following government, Department for Education, Public Health England, the British Psychological Society (BPS) and Association of Educational Psychologists (AEP) advice closely and we wanted to share with you our COVID-19 guidelines and the adjustments we have made  to our normal routines.

• To support 'physical' (social) distancing measures, we have been assessing children and adults remotely, via video conferencing (Zoom/Skype/Team). The suitability of this approach for a child, young person or adult, is individually assessed.

• In 2021 where possible, we will continue to do the bulk of the work online. However, we will be continuing our ‘face-to-face' assessments in our Stratford Clinic in line with tier 4 guidelines the second week in January. We have invested in see through desk screens and PPE, to ensure our client’s and staff’s safety remains of paramount importance at all times.

What should you do if you, or the child/young person feels unwell?

If you or the child/young person you’re accompanying should feel unwell and cannot attend the assessment at the agreed time, please let us know as soon as possible, and we will be more than happy to reschedule for a convenient later date.

What to do if you or your child/ young person has just returned from abroad?

Please inform us and follow the government's requirements re self- quarantine etc.

We are continuously monitoring developments in respect of COVID-19 in line with both the government and the NHS good practice guide.
